Yes, you can charge your vehicle during a SmartFlex event by overriding it, although it is recommended to avoid charging during the event if possible. SmartFlex events are designed to optimise energy usage and support grid stability by temporarily pausing charging. When an event is active, the charger will display a message indicating that charging is temporarily unavailable. If charging is necessary, you can tap the ‘Cancel SmartFlex Event’ option within the widget to immediately cancel the event and resume charging. However, to contribute to energy efficiency and maximise the benefits of the programme, it is best to avoid overriding SmartFlex events unless absolutely necessary. Future SmartFlex events will still apply unless manually cancelled at the time.
