How to connect charger with LAN?

Modified on Wed, 11 Dec at 5:47 PM

Follow the instructions below to set the charger online using the LAN network on the Installer Miles App.

You can download the Installer Miles app here on App Store and on Google Play Store.

  1. Open the Installer Miles App, tap 'Access for Electric Miles Drivers,' and select ‘Charger Connectivity.’
  2. Choose your charger make and model, then scan the QR code or manually enter the charger serial number.
  3. Disconnect the LAN cable from either the charger or the router (just one end).
  4. In the Network setup, toggle the LAN button to enable it. Ensure the ‘LAN Network’ is set to 'Dynamic' (leave it as is), then tap Save in the top right corner.
  5. On the next screen, choose your charging mode in the Charging Mode panel. For app control, select ‘App’ mode and tap Save.
  6. Turn off your WiFi router to prevent the charger from reconnecting to a previous network.
  7. Switch the charger’s mains power off and on, then wait about a minute for the charger to emit its hotspot.
  8. Return to the app and tap Next, then Continue on the pop-up. Follow any prompts to join the charger’s local network (setup may take a few minutes).
  9. Once successful, the charger will reboot, emit a beep, and the app will display a success message.
  10. Reconnect the LAN cable to either the charger or the router, depending on which end you disconnected.

You can now turn your router back on and return to the Electric Miles app.
