Why isn't my charger charging when set to solar?

Modified on Wed, 11 Sep at 7:42 AM

If your charger isn't functioning with solar power enabled, several factors could be at play. Here are key steps to ensure your solar configuration is correctly set up in the app:

  • Verify CT Clamp Connection: The CT clamp monitors power flow to detect excess solar energy. Different models, such as CT2000 and CT3000, are available. The app is pre-configured for the CT2000 model. Check the model number on the side of your CT clamp. If it differs from CT2000, contact our Support team for necessary adjustments in our system.
  • Check Solar Power Output: Ensure your solar panels are producing a minimum of 6 amps of excess power. This threshold is required for the charger to initiate the charging process. If solar output is below this level, charging won't commence.
  • Confirm Home Battery Charge: The home battery must be fully charged to 100% with at least 1.72 kWh of spare capacity available for the charger.

Review these factors to troubleshoot and identify if adjustments or support are needed to enable solar-powered charging.
