What is solar charging?

Modified on Tue, 4 Feb at 1:14 PM

Solar charging allows you to charge your EV using energy harvested from solar panels. There are two modes of solar charging:

  1. Clean energy:

  • All energy used to charge your EV comes directly from the solar panels.

  • Charging sessions may not start if the solar panels don’t provide at least 6 amps of power.

  • If solar energy is insufficient, charging will not begin.

  1. Mixed energy:

  • A minimum of 6 amps is drawn from the grid, while the remaining energy comes from solar panels.

  • If no solar energy is available, the charger will continue to charge using only grid energy at 6 amps.
