Why is my charger commissioning failing?

Modified on Wed, 7 Aug at 10:05 AM

If your charger commissioning is failing, it could be due to several reasons:

  1. Wi-Fi Range: Ensure that your Wi-Fi router is within 5 meters of the charger. If it's further away, consider using a Wi-Fi extender.

  2. Wi-Fi Frequency: Check if your Wi-Fi network operates on the 2.4GHz frequency, as these chargers only communicate on this frequency.

  3. Wi-Fi Network Name Length: If your Wi-Fi network name is longer than 16 characters, try renaming it to be within 16 characters.

  4. Location Services: Make sure that your phone's location services are enabled, as disabling them may cause commissioning failure.

  5. ChargerHotspot Connection: Avoid connecting to "ChargerHotspot" in your phone's Wi-Fi settings, as this can lead to commissioning failure.
